Too Bling To Be Ignored

I think these are the biggest white fresh water pearls that I have ever bought. Every one of them are over 1/4 inch diameter.

Crystal mounded silver spacers (large).














Super bling rainbow-reflection white crystal silver spacers, with large white pearls (but oval shapes).

More Stone-ish

I think I'm into the indie fashion lately. Really want to have big curly hair and dress in a big florish long skirt. Ummm, please let me out of the white snow now. How about now?

Love this golden pearls necklace - Lilu. The giant round dish (flat), african transvaal stone pendant is very eye-catching. There are lots gold colour on the stone too, natural ones:)



















Reddish (a little orange) small jasper beads, with a large almond shape cherry quartz (almost clear), the patterns on it are very cloud-looking - like sun set sky.

Bolded Again

Second round with the bold look of the pearls - Bold as Love. Only this time is added more colour, and some more shine.

Dark maroon with lilac crystal spacers.



































Beautiful grey-ish purple pearls, spaced apart with the light violet crystals.



































The following pearls are dark ever-green colour, oval shape, mixes with copper beads.



































Peach large fresh water pearls with silver stardust spacers.

Stone-ish

Finally, I got to work with my new purchases - large pendants.

Kira - beautiful almond shape labradorite in silver & grey-ish. Shinny copper wire and beads combine fresh water pearls in the grey-ish green colour.

Large oval (flat back) natural coral fossil stone pendant, in this soft stone-ish pink and light purple. The pattern of this stone is very interesting. Matching purple-ish grey pearls. (The pearls in the earring picture do better job to show the actual colour.)

A little one got missed

It's been a long winter/spring transaction. Tomorrow is the official Spring day, hopefully this is the end of the icy cold this year.

Marketing Thinking

I ran into my favourite Marketing teacher today; and realized that I have forgotten how much I enjoy thinking like a marketer before.

I can tell our conversation would go like this: what is the statement of your business? What is your price strategy? Who are your target audiences? What do you see yourself in 3 years?

Oww, I can't believe that I haven't thought about these. However, I think I have thought about the statement of my business a little bit - I want to make things that make women feel good of themselves. Is that accurate enough? I'm sure I'll need to work on that. I know I feel good when I make things. It's the accomplishment that drives me going everyday.

My price strategy is based on: making it the simplest for both me and my buyers. Of course it has to be fair. I now have basically 5 range of prices for each category. And I'll focus on them. It's straight forward and easy to place the items. Some items I might "lose" a few bulks, but who cares; because I'm pretty sure on some other items, I'll make those few bulks back. It's more important to make my customers happy, than frustrate them. It's also more important to make their lives easier, than complicate them.

I make things that are very feminine. Of course, my focus customers would be trendy, dare to try new things, love beautiful things, adore beautiful things, and last but not least, value the hard work behind those beautiful things.

About the longer-term of plan - I would like to see myself going into a wider range of jewellery making; more independable; and perhaps more focus on what I do. This handmade jewellery business isn't unpopular. There are millions out there just like me. I want to differentiate mine from them - create my own purple cow in this business.

You know I just made the above "conversation" up, right? But thoughts stay.
